My best to Pris and family. I have been thinking of the good, fun times we had with Dan when we were young. Among many memories, Dan and his friend Jack drove his Model A Ford from St Louis to Mobile, and I ended up buying it from him. They drove home with one of our uncles. I and my brother drove that car for quite a long time afterward. We had many happy times with Dan swimming, crabbing, fishing and just plain having fun. Bless his soul and my condolences to all the family.

Dan and I are cousins. Our shared experiences were mostly when we were young, going swimming, fishing and crabbing in Mobile Bay, along with Uncle Cleatus and Aunt Opal and my parents. When we came to Mobile in 1942 we stayed with them until we could find a place of our own. Dan and I were more like brothers during those years. I last saw him at his Dad's funeral, and I left hoping that he knew who I was. I have always admired "Pris" and hope she remembers when Doris and I visited them in 1955, and that we corresponded for quite a long time after. Dan has gone on, but remains in our hearts and minds. May God bless him and you.

Danny was my second cousin and I have nice memories of him, his mother Opal, and dad Cletus, and of Joe, also have picture of him in our youth. He was such a fine young man. He is missed.
