Audrey
Smith
Sep 12, 2002 — Dec 3, 2022
Our beautiful, joyous, Audrey Marie Smith, was born to Curt and Nancy Smith, on September 12, 2002, and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on December 3, 2022.
Audrey was part of a very large and loving family. As the oldest daughter, she was always there to support and nurture her younger siblings, Eli, Eva, Aidan, Emmie, Gianna, and Levi. And she looked up to her older brother Noah, where they both set a loving example to their younger siblings. But Audrey was a special part of a much larger family, with over 30 cousins and second cousins, over 20 aunts and uncles, and her surviving maternal grandparents, John and Shirley (Boyer) Recar, who adored her. Audrey was predeceased by her fraternal grandparents, Bill and Eve (Prost) Smith.
Audrey was always at the large Smith family gatherings with her infectious smile, eager to help and care for her younger siblings and cousins. In addition to her family, Audrey became friends to so many with her caring nature and empathy for everyone.
From her youth, Audrey was always a godly, faithful, prayerful woman. She was active in her Holy Trinity parish as a young girl, entered and graduated from Rosati-Kain High School, and was pursuing a career in social work at Southeast Missouri State University. Passionate about the Pro-Life cause, she was President of Students for Life, a member of the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS), and involved with the St. John Henry Newman Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She also became a member of the All Souls parish.
We will deeply miss our precious Audrey, who enriched and made our lives better with her presence.
