Barbara Ann Cody (nee: Slocum) joined her beloved husband Raymond Cody in heaven on June 19, 2022. She was born July 31, 1945 in St. Louis, MO to Frank and Verna Slocum. Loving mother of James (Beata) and John (Diane); devoted grandmother to Evan, Keegan, Ryan and Jocelyn; dear sister to Sandy; cousin to Jan Tice; aunt, sister-in-law and friend to many who will miss her dearly; mother to several fur babies, most of whom have preceded her in death. In 1966, at a time when many of her contemporaries chose more traditional paths, Barbara graduated from the Jewish School of Nursing in St. Louis and became an early pioneer for working mothers. She dedicated her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse, providing care and nurturing to countless children over the span of her 50+ year career.

Visitation Tuesday, June 28, 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd (St. Ann). Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 29, 11:00 AM at St. Richard Catholic Church, 11223 Schuetz Rd (St. Louis). Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
