Barbara Carlson Cooper passed away on April 16th, 2026. She was born in Ellsworth, Illinois on February 9th 1933 to Albert and Fenella (Roberts) Carlson. She graduated from Ellsworth High School and then went on to work for State Farm Insurance at the Home Office; Birmingham, Alabama; Columbia, Missouri; Santa Ana, California; and St Louis Missouri.

Barbara and Charley Cooper were married October 21, 1961at St Ann Church in Santa Ana California .

They moved to St Louis, Missouri and had three children, Kyra, Kathleen,  and Charley Joseph. They have eight grandchildren.

When Charley retired they traveled to several United States Air Force reunions and Barbara took a tour to Ireland in 2001.

She is survived by her husband Charley Cooper, one sister, Alice M. Carlson, her children,  two sister in laws, Alice J. Carlson and Joan Carlson,  nieces and nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Lyle, Lowell, Darrell, Kenneth and a sister in law, Virginia.

There will be a private Graveside service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery
