Bernice E. (Krueger) Mohesky

March 26th, 1933 – August 24th, 2026

Bernice, affectionately known as “Bea” to all her family, friends, and co-workers, passed away peacefully with family at her side the afternoon of August 24th. Bea lived a rich and fulfilled life that spanned over 93 years.

Bea grew up in a very small town in rural Missouri with her parents and 3 siblings, 1 sister and 2 brothers. The four of them were always incredibly close for the entirety of their lives. In 1952, Bea left home and moved to St. Louis where she began her lengthy and successful career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co (now AT&T). While home for a visit one weekend a year or so later she met the love of her life, Kenneth (Ken) Mohesky. They were married in 1955 and remained so until Ken’s passing in 2021. Together, Bea and Ken raised 2 children, Mike and Lisa.

Bea enjoyed all aspects of life, being a devoted wife and mother, simultaneously managing motherhood and a career, spending time with her siblings, their spouses and children, traveling, watching Cardinal baseball, or her favorite thing in life, her relationship with God and church. She cherished her church relationships, activities serving others, singing in the choir, and particularly acting as the back-up organist for decades. She was very kind sole, everyone who ever met her adored her because her caring nature. Her love for others always showed through in everything, said or did.

Bea is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Mohesky, her parents Paul Krueger and Elsie (Schulte) Krueger, her siblings Ivan Krueger and Gladys (Krueger) Schneider, and a step-grandchild Kristen Downs.

She is survived in death by her brother Arvil Krueger and his wife Carol, her children, Mike Mohesky and his spouse Piper (Petrzelka) Mohesky, and Lisa (Mohesky) Downs and her husband Jeffrey Downs, her grandchildren, Tyler Mohesky and his spouse Emily (Harriss) Mohesky, Benjamin Clifford, and Hanna Mohesky, her step-grandchildren Scott and Jaime (Coomer) Downs, Ashley, Eric, and Lauren Downs, and several step-greatgrandchildren.

Everything about Bea will be missed, her smile, her kind heart, her love for others, and even her more than occasional stubbornness. She was one of a kind.
