Bette Jean D’Arcangelis

Bette passed away peacefully on June 6 at the age of 97.

Born to Royal and Emma Fitzpatrick, she was one of nine children and was the last surviving sibling of her family. She lived a long life marked by devotion to her family and the many relationships she cherished throughout the years.

She was the beloved mother of four children: Elizabeth, Richard, Michael, and Lawrence. She was also a proud grandmother to Danielle, Kelsey, Renee, Andre, and Audrey, and a loving great-grandmother to Evan, Nolan, Forrest, and Willow. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every opportunity to share in their lives and accomplishments.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship, and by her son, Michael.

A private graveside service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the lasting legacy of love she leaves with her family and all who knew her.
