Bruce Banta

January 27, 1957 - December 29, 2023

Bruce Banta of Bridgeton, MO, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the age of 66. Beloved life companion of Terri Rowell; devoted son of the late Don and Geri Banta; cherished father of Kristie Banta and Scott Banta; loving grandfather of Haley Banta, Ethan Banta and Kinley Banta; brother of the late Craig Banta; uncle of Eric Banta and Justin (Whitney) Banta; great-uncle of Emily, Abigail, Luke and Addison; treasured by many other extended family, friends and neighbors.

Bruce kept himself active. He was still employed by Banta & Stude Construction, which he had worked throughout his life, founded by his father. In early years, he was an avid horseman. In more recent times, he could be found boating at The Lake of the Ozarks or riding his Harley Davidson on a new adventure. He and Terri were involved with the St. Charles Harley Davidson H.O.G. chapter and took many trips with fellow riders. When not riding motorcycles, they enjoyed dining at favorite local restaurants and visiting friends. Although spending time with his grandchildren; attending a school function, supporting their teams or just hanging out was what he treasured most.

Bruce was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Bruce's life will be held on Saturday, January 27th. The open house and luncheon will be at Orlando's, 2050 Dorsett Village Plaza, from 2:00 - 5:00pm where all those who loved him are invited to attend and share their cherished memories.
