Devoted husband of 57 years to the late Doris Musterman (nee Czapliskie); cherished father of Dianna (Don) Graveman and the late Richard Musterman; beloved grandfather of Stephen (Melissa) Graveman, Elizabeth (Max) Knocke, and Teresa Graveman; loving great-grandfather of Ada, Arlo, and Emmett Graveman; dear brother of Virginia (Harold) Christine, the late Marilyn (James) Beckmann, and the late Robert, Albert, and Morton Musterman; dear uncle, cousin, and brother-in-law; and treasured friend of many.
Bruce attended Clayton High School, and served in the Engineering Division of the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1951. On August 9, 1952, he married his one and only, Doris. They later had a son, Richard, and a daughter, Dianna. Bruce was a talented mechanic, engineer, and repairman, and worked for Ford dealerships for 41 years. After Bruce retired, Bruce and Doris donated their time and talents to humbly serve Habitat for Humanity. They were devoted members of Calvary United Church of Christ in St. Louis for many years.
Bruce was an outdoorsman and enjoyed nature, fishing, swimming, and gardening. He also loved to travel and had a great sense of adventure. He was a wonderful storyteller and delighted many with anecdotes of his experiences. Bruce had a very generous heart and was always eager and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He used his many talents over the years to serve his family, friends, neighbors, and community.
On September 18, 2023, at the age of 94, Bruce passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones and faithful family dogs. His family is grateful for each and every moment shared with him, and his presence was a great blessing in their lives. Bruce will be remembered for his warmth, gentle spirit, generosity, sense of adventure, and incredible devotion to his family. He will continue to live on through his stories, the knowledge he has shared, and through the many lives that he has touched.
Visitation at 10 a.m., followed by a short service at 11 a.m.: Tuesday, September 26, Collier's Funeral Home. Interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Habitat for Humanity or another charity.
