Carol Lee Brandes-Carter (nee Ruckman)

Born in St. Louis, MO on December 23, 1942. She died at DePaul Hospital on December 21, 2022 at the age of 79.

She challenged herself to always find the perfect card for any occasion or the perfect book for any focus moment at church. She enjoyed arts and crafts shows and supported as many as she possibly could. Christmas was her favorite holiday. And she loved her St. Louis Cardinals base ball team.

Carol was preceeded in death by her parents, Carl and Gladys Ruckman; her husband, Donald Jim Carter; her son, Curtis Brandes.

Carol is survived by her sisters, Jeanne Cookson Hyberg Sieferd (Leo) and Cheryl Ann Stark (Robert); nephew, Scott Cookson; niece, Kelly Stark; great-nephews, Chase Cookson and Benjamin Stark; great niece, Oliva Stark.

A memorial service for Carol will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Belnor Community of Christ (8324 Natural Bridge Rd, St Louis, MO, 63121)
