Catherine Anne Fluck (nee Coleman) Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Sunday, July 26, 2026.
Beloved wife of the late Charles T. Fluck; dearest mother of Steve Fluck and the late Thomas Fluck; loving grandmother of Peyton Fluck (Tiffani) and Spencer Fluck; great grandmother of Camden Fluck and Emersyn Fluck; sister of Geri Friedline (Randy), Marianne Duckworth, the late Joanne Stockdale, Mary Evelyn Schafer, Raymond Coleman and Joseph G. Coleman; sister-in-law to Rita Killy (Bill ) Betty Fluck Perkins, and Ginger Frein; our dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Cathy was a kind, loving, loyal, courageous, and strong woman. She was always there without calling attention to the fact that she was always there. Cathy was the first to greet us on special days. Cathy’s ability to select the perfect greeting card for any occasion and then to add her own perfect finishing touches to personalize them carried over to the special texts and emojis she mastered later in life. She had a remarkable collection of pens, pencils, erasers, and styluses to support her efforts.
Before retiring, Cathy served patients and clients at Ferguson Optical for more than thirty years. Her professional growth included preparing for and passing very difficult tests for certification. Yet she never lost her ability to connect with people on a level that made them comfortable.
Cathy loved family bingos and playing casino games on her iPad. She also loved crossword puzzles and word games. She was a great listener and always seemed to know the right thing to say when asked for advice or when just being a friend.
At times a very private person, Cathy managed life’s challenges and losses with dignity, style, and grace. Her deep faith in God sustained her and her unmatched love for family and friends sustained us.
Cathy we will miss your wit, wisdom, and warmth … and your legendary meatloaf.
