Loving husband of 67 years to Dorothy M. Dent (nee Welter). Loving Father to Ronald (Cindy) Dent, Richard (Kimberly) Dent, Karen (Tim) Ortiz, and Brian Dent. Dearest Grandfather to Kyle (Kelly Jane) Dent, Kelley (Mike) Mueller. Brandon Ortiz, Justin Ortiz, and Jennifer (Marshall) Harris. Great Grandfather to Chad and Jackson Harris.

Charles was born in St. Louis, MO to Charles L. Dent and Mary Dent (nee Gillison) who preceded him in death. Dearest brother to Evelyn Welter (Dent) and Robert L Dent. He was preceded in death by Brother William and Sisters Frances Barley and Virginia Finley. He was an Uncle, Cousin, and Friend to many.

Charles was in the United States Navy. After his military service he went to work for Kroger as a warehouseman for 41 years. He was involved with many things at St. Blaise/Holy Spirit Church where he was an usher and helped with the parish carnival for many many years. Charles was a member of The Knights of Columbus. He loved to travel with his wife. The Cruises, bus trips, and flying to Vegas. He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
