Charley Lee Cooper passed away on April 21st, 2026.
He was born in Chillicothe, Missouri on October 20th 1934 to Charley and Helen (Lynch) Cooper. He graduated from Chillicothe High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force then graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Industrial Management. He went on to work as a civilian Procurement Engineer for the Department of the United States Army for almost 30 years in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Charley and Barbara Cooper were married October 21, 1961 at Saint Ann Church in Santa Ana California.
They moved to St Louis, Missouri and had three children, Kyra, Kathleen, and Charley Joseph. They have eight grandchildren and great grandchildren.
When Charley retired they traveled to several United States Air Force reunions and volunteered at their local Catholic Church.
Together they enjoyed time with family, friends and taking care of their yard especially their flowers.
He is survived by his one sister, Charlene Babb; his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John; two sisters, Margaret, Helen; two brother-in-laws Paul, Eugene; and one sister-in-law Phyllis.
Charley and Barbara are now blessed eternally together.
There will be a private Graveside service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery
