November 26, 1966 - November 8, 2024.

David, age 57, baptized into the hope of eternal life, entered the promises of Christ on November 8, 2024, surrounded by family and a special friend.

David was known for his smile, sense of humor, and love of sports and beer. He did not know a stranger and was endeared to everyone he met. His disabilities never prevented him from enjoying life to the fullest.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Timothy King and JoAnn MacLellan, and his sister, Amy King. He is survived by his siblings Becky (Bill) Niehoff, Michael (Christy) King, Kerry (Brad) Bakula, Daniel (Elena) King, and John (Kim) King; 17 nieces and nephews; and 4 great-nieces and nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge, with sincere gratitude, the Sunnyhill staff, especially Dean Howard, Tony Armstrong, Becky Mullins, Day Williams, Barbara McGee, and Joetta Tinya. Their devotion and loving care were beyond measure.

A private funeral and burial took place on November 14 when David was laid to rest with his mother whom he missed deeply. "Mom" was one of the last words he said before she welcomed him home.

In lieu of flowers, David asks that you reach out to a disabled person and make his or her day with a kind gesture.
