Delcie Lee Payne, 99, passed away on December 12,  surrounded by her family. She was born on May 17, 1924 to the late Vernon and Dora Ryther in St. Louis, Missouri. She spent most of her young life in Dixon, MO and her adult life in St. Louis. Her brother, Paul Ryther, and her sister, Avis Breite, both preceded her in death. Delcie was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Eugene Payne.

She and her husband raised two daughters. Delcie worked as a realtor and both she and her husband were very active in their church. They loved to travel and visited many countries and every state but North Dakota. They enjoyed spending time at their little farm in Davisville, MO along the Shoal Creek. They also volunteered a lot but being a wife, a mom, a grandmother and great grandmother were her greatest joys.

Delcie is survived by both of her children, Patty (Mike) Hake and Marilyn Bergjans, one granddaughter, Gina (Josh) Malawy, and four great grandchildren, Issabella, Ellery, Paisley, and River Malawy.

A visitation will be held at St. Paul's Evangelical Church (9801 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur) on Monday, December 18th from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Funeral, Interment, and a luncheon will commence immediately following at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to one of the following organizations that were near and dear to Delcie's heart, World Hunger Relief in El Mott, TX or at ( http://www.worldhungerrelief.org/) or St. Paul's Evangelical Church.
