Delores
Frisella
Jul 11, 1936 — Jul 14, 2021
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved and devoted mother, Delores Frisella on July 14 th , 2021. She passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 85.
Daughter of the late Salvatore and Marie Frisella; Loving mother of Henry (Lisa) Kempf, DeAnna (Patrick) Dorey, DeNeena (Michael) Hanrahan, and Michael Salvatore (Crystal) Frisella; Loving sister of the late Jean Trapino, Anne Frisella, Joseph Frisella, Theresa Quigley, Jennzy Poikey, Mary Carribino, Louise Buss and Jacqueline Kaiser; Beloved grandmother of two, great-grandmother of four, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Mom, it was a great pleasure and privilege for us to be your children. We thank God for having shared you with us. Your smile, laughter, hugs and kisses will stay in our hearts forever.
Mom raised four children and was a strong woman who overcame many obstacles in her life. She was one who believed that life's lemons were meant for making lemonade. She grabbed any chance to laugh and be silly, tell a joke, jitterbug or swing dance, but she always wore her biggest smile when she was singing. She enjoyed the old songs, particularly The Butcher Boy so popular at Italian weddings. We would listen to this sometimes-bawdy serenade and any others for as long as she wanted to sing for us.
Mom enjoyed the outdoors even on the hottest day as long as she had her lemonade, iced tea or Italian Ice. She loved the Old World cuisine of Italy and in her younger days favored us with her homemade pasta and Italian cookies.
Everyone tells us they loved our mom. She will be greatly missed. Ti amiamo così, Mamma!
