Obituary

Dimple Savilla Stevens (Metzger), born December 4, 1930, daughter of Modest and Sherman Metzger passed peacefully to heaven on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Dimple was a dear and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Married to James C. Stevens on Sept 22,1951 who preceded her in death in 2011. She is survived by daughter Teresa Stayton, son-in-law David Stayton, son Jeffrey Stevens, daughter-in-law Carol Stevens, and her beloved grandchildren, Megan, John, and Lily.

Dimple grew up in South East Missouri in the Bootheel. She loved spending time with family and friends, growing all types of flowers, attending church at Have Bible Will Travel, and putting pillows together with a group of ladies for a local hospital. She was a kind-hearted and strong woman who truly made the world around her a better place. Someday we will all be celebrating and praising God together, but she will be dearly missed until that day
