Dorothy D. Buehrle

September 18, 1932 – September 15, 2021

Dorothy, (affectionately known as Mom, Nana, Dot, Dottie and Aunt Dot), age 88, of O'Fallon MO, died on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.  She was born to the late Riley Evans and Ruth (Fehr) Evans on September 18, 1932.

Dorothy is survived by her children Michael and Patrice (Sam) Grossi, grandchildren Brian Buehrle (Amanda) and Dimenica Grossi, her sister Barbara Byrd, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Evans, Riley Evans, dear sister Leola Weber, loving husband James Buehrle.

Dorothy was born and raised in St. Louis MO.  She attended St. Marks High School and after graduation, she worked for the Wabash Railroad until she had her first child.  Dorothy was married to James (Jim) Buehrle on May 5, 1956.  She loved her family, friends, good food, dining out, traveling, gardening, and had a great sense of adventure.  A fabulous cook, she enjoyed entertaining friends and family who would gather at the family home and had great fun!  She particularly loved a good book, the Arts, her favorite artist was Georgia O'Keefe, and, as a member enjoyed the Missouri Botanical Gardens on frequent basis enjoying seeing the change of seasons.

Memorial visitation Wednesday, September 22, 11:00 AM until time of service, 12:00 PM at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd (St. Ann). The family does request all in attendance to wear a face mask.
