Evelyn R. Garland (nee Navo) passed into the arms of Jesus at the age of 96 on January 16, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Arthur Garland; her precious daughter, Sherry Garland; and her loving mother, Edna Williams (nee Studt). Evelyn is survived by her children Dennis Garland, Diane (Thomas) Meirose, Terry (Susan) Garland, and Judy (Robert) Lowe; dearest grandchildren Denny (Julie) Garland, Chris Garland, Lisa (Brian) Luetkemeyer, Jennifer (Val) Perales, Brian Garland, Michelle (Gabe) Wilson, Matt (Cathy) Garland, Gregory (Shana) Lowe, Todd (Meagan) Garland, Keith (Ashley) Garland, and Mia Garland. Evelyn was a proud great-grandmother of 19 and great-great-grandmother of 5. She was also a dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Evelyn lived a life defined by love, selflessness, kindness, sacrifice, humility, and devotion. She was more than a mother - she was a Godly mother. She was humble and had an unwavering faith. Evelyn lived life well and was an incredible woman. She set an example to aspire to, was a great listener, always reliable and a source of strength. Her generosity knew no limits, as she always placed the needs of others before her own - a true servant. Whether it was lending a hand (often to many people), offering a meal or simply sharing her laughter and beautiful smile, she touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, compassion and resilience that will continue to inspire us every day of our lives! She will forever be missed by all!

A visitation (3:00 - 3:30 pm) and service (3:30 - 4:30 pm) will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 3025 N. Lindbergh Blvd (St.. Ann). A private inurnment at Oak Grove Cemetery will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Evelyn's honor to the Alzheimer's Association .
