Ferd was born in St. Louis, MO. He started life in Vinita Park where he attended St. Rita School where he took pride in playing baseball and winning state championships. Ferd graduated from CBC High School in 1953 where he was part of the ROTC program. Years later he joined CBC's Alumni Association and in 2025 Ferd was elected to the CBC Hall of Fame which he took great pride and appreciation in.
Ferd went on to work for Western Electric (AT&T) for 41 years. Ferd was a part of the St. Mary's Parish where he helped in many ways from building the convent to the fun of the yearly carnival. Ferd was also a part of the city council for the City of Bridgeton. He served 39 years in public service to the citizens of Bridgeton. Ferd also was a member of the Bridgeton Optimist Club, Alzheimer's, and Bridgeton Seniors and many more. Ferd loved to be involved and lending a helping hand.
Ferd was an avid football Cardinals and Rams fan. Ferd also enjoyed hosting golf tournaments and adult functions.
Ferd Cherished all of his relationships that he made throughout the years. From the parish, clubs, Bridgeton Council, CBC Alumni, Bridgeton Seniors, and his all important golf buddies.
We are all saddened at the loss of Ferd, but we could take comfort in knowing that he will be with his family and treasured friends that have gone on before him. Just remember the old catch phrase, "Catch Fetsch for State Rep".
