Geneva "Jenny"
L. Rooney
Apr 16, 1925 — Aug 3, 2023
Rooney, Geneva Lovena "Jenny", fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Wed., Aug. 3, 2023; beloved wife of the late Jack Rooney; dearest mother of Sheila Hill, James (Jan), Kathleen (Steve) Crain, Michael (Liz Greubel), Kristie (Ryan) Richardson, and the late Jacqueline Dustin, Sharon Kelly, Mary Rooney-Fetters, and John V. Rooney Jr.; dear grandmother and great-grandmother and friend.
Our maw maw had just a "few" passions and interests which she shared with us throughout our childhoods and in recent years. Jenny was an avid Cardinal baseball fan, a sideline soccer coach, Bingo enthusiast, and auction aficionado. She loved attending her Florissant Senior Meetings, traveling the United States via RV (making it to 49 states), and winning big on her penny slots. Her fiery spirit left an everlasting impact on our lives, and she will be deeply missed.
