After graduating from CBC high school in 1957, he went to St. Louis University and achieved both a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA; he also pitched for the SLU baseball team with such skill that he was scouted by a major league team.  His career was defined by almost 30 years at Watlow Electric, where he was plant manager of the St. Louis facility and then VP of Manufacturing.  He then spent 4 years as President of Thiel Tool.  In addition to his professional achievements, he served as president of the Queen of Peace Center for several years in the 1990's and remained on its board for years following.  He enjoyed 40 years as a member of Norwood Hills Country Club where he spent countless hours indulging his passion for golf.
