Whittington, Jack Edwin passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the age of 68. Jack was born in St. Louis MO to Edwin and Dorothy Whittington.

Jack enlisted in the Air Force in 1972 and served in England during the Vietnam War. Upon returning he took up wedding photography and received his X-Ray technician certifications. In 1984 he started his degree in Nuclear Medicine at Forest Park Community College, where he met his wife Rebecca.

Jack retired from VA Hospital in 2012 as a Nuclear Medicine Technician. Jack was an amazing guitar player who loved to jam with his brother Steve and best friends since childhood, John and Mike. They could give Wishbone Ash a run for their money with their rendition of Blowin' Free.

Beloved husband of Rebecca S. Whittington (nee Frazier) for 38 years; loving father of Evelyn Whittington and Jeremy (Amanda) Whittington; adoring grandfather of Michael and Austin Whittington; cherished brother of Steve (Sheila) Whittington, uncle to Kevin Whittington and Brandy Whittington; and a friend to all who met him.

Jack was preceded in death by his brother Edwin Hyde, beloved aunt Betty Hollingsworth, and his father and mother; Edwin and Dorothy Whittington.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, Jack and his family request that donations be made to St. Animal Pet Adoptions (S.A.P.A.), where Jack's beloved dog Mick was rescued and adopted from.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 11 from 4-8pm at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd (St. Ann). The Funeral will be held Tuesday, July 12 at 11am at Collier's Funeral Home. Jack will be buried after the services with military honors at Jefferson-Barracks National Cemetery.
