Jacquelyn Best Phillips of Maryland Heights, Missouri was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on February 24, 1926, to Mary Ellen (Coates) and William Best. She graduated from Ritenour High School in 1944 and married Robert Lewis Phillips on November 22, 1946, in Union, Missouri. Jacque and Bob raised three daughters and two sons, and they made their home in Overland, Missouri until 1977 when they moved to Washington, Missouri, where they were active members of First Christian Church of Washington.
Jacquelyn was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and reunited in glory with her husband Robert L. Phillips, her daughter Candyce Lynn Bollini, her parents Mary Ellen and William Best, her sisters, Beverly Remmel and Evangelyn Sallee. She is survived by her sister Marceleen Best of Maumelle Arkansas, her daughter Robyn Seifert (Jeff) of Gig Harbor Washington, daughter Terre Dunavant (Terry) of Maryland Heights Missouri, son Randy Phillips of Creve Coeur Missouri, and son Doug Phillips of Nashville Tennessee. Jacque thoroughly enjoyed each of her grandchildren and their families: Jeff Polster of Chicago Illinois, Tiffany Bradley (Bill) of Fenton Missouri, Kurtis High (Jen) of Gig Harbor Washington, Kristen Bryley (Denny and daughter Autumn) of Port Orchard Washington, Aaron Dunavant (Amanda) of St. Peters, Missouri, Nathan Dunavant (Jill) of Moscow Mills Missouri, Jacob R. Dunavant (Tabbetha) of Wentzville Missouri, Kylie Baty (Mike) of St. Peters Missouri, and Maggie Schrock (Brian) of Fenton Missouri.
Blessings were multiplied with a new generation of great-grandchildren including Nicolas Polster, Mackenzie Gebben (Ben Goodrich), Cameron Gebben, Emerson and Parker Bradley, Bailey and Carmen High, Taylor, Ella, Jacob M., Judy Rose, Aidan, Natalie, Conner and Sadie Dunavant, Macy, Karter and Maximus Baty, and Arya and Cora Schrock.
In addition to great-great grandchildren recently born, many blessings have been added to the family through marriage including: Aleisha Cruz (Michael) and daughter Kayleigh, Alexis Lane (Nicholas), Cyndi Santos (Joshua), Jeffery and Grace Marks, Sally Seifert (Dominique Montoya) Selena, Olivia, Mila, Feliciano and Emmalyn Montoya.
Jacque lived a life of faith. Always patient. Always kind. Always encouraging. She was a wonderful example to her children, grandchildren and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Celebration of life service to be held at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 North Lindbergh, St. Ann, Missouri at noon on Saturday, January 8, 2022, with internment at Valhalla Cemetery.
