James E. Thompkins

James was born in East Prairie Missouri to Ivan E. and Sarah Louise Thompkins.

He was a Naval Veteran, enlisting in 1958 assigned to Service Squadron Two, at Chincoteague AFB. During his enlistment he was sent to duty at Guantanamo Bay and was discharged with honor after his 4-year stint.

Jim earned an Electrical Engineering degree at Washington University St Louis Missouri and subsequently obtained employment at Boeing Aeronautics, from which he retired after 40 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Sarah Louise Thompkins, sisters, Agnes, (Weldon Duff), Betty, (Leo Moeller), Barbara Thompkins, and his brother, Jerry Thompkins.

He is survived by his brother, Jack Thompkins and his nieces and nephews.

Funeral Saturday, February 8, 2025 10:00 AM at Valhalla Cemetery Chapel, 7600 St. Charles Rock Rd.  Interment to follow.
