Jeffrey John Henry -
January 25, 1951 - August 20, 2023
Jeffrey (Jeff) John Henry of St. Cloud, Minnesota, was born on January 25th, 1951, and passed away on August 20th, 2023.
Jeff graduated St Cloud Technical High in 1969. He went on to attend St Cloud Area Vocational School in 1972 for Drafting and Design. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and served as a Communications Technician from 1973 - 1977. During his time in the Navy, he was stationed in San Diego, Key West and most notably wintering over in 1976 for 'Operation Deep Freeze' in Antarctica. After exploring the world, he was honorably discharged in 1977. He then continued his education at St Cloud State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Geography and Minor in Psychology, 1982.
In 1983, Jeff along with his wife and daughter moved to St. Louis, MO, where he then worked as a Cartographer. Jeff retired after 20 years of service with the Department of Defense with what is now known as the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
Jeff's treasured music collection could often be heard playing from outside the house. He enjoyed Jules Verne novels, UFOs and all sorts of obscure pieces of literature, music and movies. He thought differently about the world and always cared very deeply for his family.
Jeff was a beloved husband for 44 years to Ann Marie Henry; caring father to daughter Roxanne (William) Lingua, step-son Jason (Janell) Wesenberg; brother to Mark (Kathy) Henry, Fran (Mark) Wright, Tim Henry, Jennie (Ron) Kor. Beloved Grandpa 'Pop Pop' to Mazzy Lingua;
bonus Grandfather to Alana Wesenberg, Austin Hammann, Austin Wesenberg, Greta Wesenberg and Serenity Lingua. And a silly quirky uncle to so many nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Donald C. and Emma L. Henry; his sister Connie Henry; his brothers Greg Henry and John Henry.
He was loved and will be greatly missed.
