John Gerard Bockerstett, age 58, of Maryland Heights, MO passed away August 21, 2021 of COVID-19 pneumonia complications with his wife, son, daughter, and daughter in-law by his side.

John was born September 27, 1962 in St. Louis, MO to Allen and Beverly Bockerstett of St. Louis, MO. John is survived by his wife Carrie, his son Sean (Allison), his daughter Caitlin, his grandson Luke, his father Allen, his mother Beverly, his two brothers, Mark (Renee) and James, and his sister, Jane Ditch (Joe). He is preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Mary.

John graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1980 and also completed some classes at Florissant Valley Community College. After Florissant Valley, John began working full time at the family machine shop, Modern Screw Products, where he worked for the duration of his life.

John was passionate about everything in his life, especially his family, friends, and faith. He could make friends with anyone he came across and he loved to laugh and make people smile! John loved to be on the golf course and always enjoyed cooking. John later became passionate about smokin' meat and it was through his cooking that he served so many people. John was also a huge sports fan, especially the Blues. He was more than thrilled to see the Blues win their first championship and participate in the parade down Market Street. John touched so many lives with his love and charisma and although he is no longer with us, we hope we can all celebrate the goodness that John brought to our lives!

Funeral Thursday, Aug. 26, 10:00 AM Mass Holy Spirit Church, 3130 Parkwood Ln. Maryland Heights. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday, 4:00-8:00 PM.
