John Laxen Jr, known as Jack, the adopted son of John and Sophia Laxen, died Sunday, March 17, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born, May 28, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Jack was a 4 year Air Force Veteran, serving one year in the Vietnam war.   For many years he ran his own company, designing and building photographic printing machines.

He is survived by his daughter, Jill Laxen and her sons Decker and Riley of Minneapolis, and by his sisters, Mary Ann Laxen of East Grand Forks, MN, and Janice Mortenson of Vista, California. Preceding him in death were his parents, his brothers, Roderick, Ronald and Donald and his sister Judith.

Per his wishes, no services will be held. Jack donated his body to science at Washington University, St. Louis
