Julie participated in many St. Charles County Miss Amazing pageants and loved the attention those pageants brought.
Following her retirement from the sheltered workshop Julie participated in the Rise Program through Willows Way, St. Charles. Julie loved the opportunity to "go, go, go", she greatly appreciated the program, staff and friends she made there.
At the time of her death, Julie's roommates at Community Living were Bert and Jane. Her special roommates Margaret and Rose preceded her in death. The compassionate and caring CLI staff who positively influenced Julie for decades are too numerous to mention. Current House Manager Halimeh B., Patty B., Nurse Jennifer V., and staff members Sarah, Tina, and Dewanda.
