Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Karl Abraham Gill passed away at the age of 56 on Thursday, November 11, 2021. He was born on April 27, 1965 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Richard Gill and Patricia Gill (nee Lacey). He attended school in the Special School District of St. Louis County through the age of 21, and then was employed for over 32 years at Lafayette Industries North, a sheltered workshop in Berkeley, MO.

Preceded in death by niece Sara Elizabeth, nephew Timothy Patrick, and uncle Robert James Lacey. Survived by his parents and by siblings Douglas (Laurie) Gill, Alan (Debby) Gill, Amelia (Fred) Koch, and Brian (Beth) Gill. Proud Uncle Karl to 22 nieces and nephews and 5 grandnieces and grandnephews. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Karl was handicapped with intellectual and other disabilities. His good spirit, infectious laugh, and simple and pure nature made him without question the heart and soul of his family. He understood the significance of every occasion and delighted in simple things and routines.

Visitation is 4:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 16 at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd. (St. Ann). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 17 at 10:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3130 Parkwood Lane in Maryland Heights. It will be immediately followed by the Rite of Committal and burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Florissant.
