Larry D. Wilson

Larry Dean Wilson, of Maryland Heights, MO, passed away on the morning of Saturday, August 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering love for the people blessed to know him. Born on December 17, 1961, Larry lived a life marked by integrity, generosity, love for Jesus, and a steady, dependable presence that anchored his family and friends through every season.

Larry was a man who never needed the spotlight to make an impact. He showed his love through action — a helping hand, a thoughtful gesture, a warm smile that puts others at ease. He worked hard, cared deeply, and lived with a humility that made his character shine all the brighter. Those who knew him will remember his gentle humor, his patience, and the way he made everyone feel welcome and valued.

Serving in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Nimitz, Larry followed in his father's footsteps proudly serving his country with honor. Larry worked for five years at McDonnell Douglas and then had a long and dedicated career with UPS. In 2025, he celebrated 30 years of service to UPS.

He cherished his family and friends above all else. Larry was a devoted son, uncle and friend, and his greatest joy came from time spent with the people he loved — sharing meals, telling stories, and celebrating life’s simple moments. His presence was steady, comforting, and good.

Larry is survived by his mother, Charlotte B. Wilson; brother-in-law, Mark Grindstaff; niece, Elizabeth Dodd (David); grandniece, Mhaire Dodd; grandnephew Jack Dodd; his long-time friend Jerry Walsh; and many more, who will forever carry his warmth and his love in their hearts. He is preceded in death by father, Clyde L. Wilson; and sister, Lee Ann Grindstaff.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 3pm, with a service by Rev. Dr. Mike Farley at 4pm, at Collier's Funeral Home in St. Ann, MO. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a man whose life was defined by kindness and quiet courage.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to TEAM Fund, reflecting Larry’s lifelong membership in the Teamsters and commitment to helping others.

Larry Dean Wilson, loving son, uncle and friend, will be deeply missed — and lovingly remembered.
