Obituary

Loretta Pedigo Gregory (79) passed away suddenly while in the care of the loving and devoted care partners of her memory care home where she had resided for the past two and a half years.

Born and raised in Maryland Heights, mom was a proud 1961 graduate of Maryland Heights High School. Following graduation, she attended Southeast Missouri State to study art. She later completed her bachelor's degree at University of Missouri- St. Louis in her forties. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Lucille Pedigo, and dear husband Harold with whom she shared almost 50 years of marriage before his death in 2020. She was a devoted animal lover her entire life and in their retirement years, she and Harold adopted many rescue animals. She loved them all dearly. She was exceptionally creative and built many elaborate dollhouses, as well as taking on many sewing projects, crocheting, and many creative craft and art projects. She had a green thumb and her home was adorned with many beautiful houseplants as well as an extravagant outdoor garden. She loved to read and was a longtime member of a book club that was so dear to her. She and Harold built their dream home in 2000 on family land in her hometown of Maryland Heights and they enjoyed many, many good years there enjoying the property, the wildlife, and the many trees. She is survived by her daughter Lora (David) Crites, stepson Scott (Laurie) Gregory, stepdaughter Linda (Steve) Fahrig, and grandchildren Thomas, Noah, and Emma, as well as cherished nieces and nephews.

We would like to share our deep gratitude to Kendra and Debbie and the incredible, dedicated staff of Dolan Memory Care Homes as well as Iris with Care Choice Care Management and AW Healthcare for their sensitive and compassionate care during her final years. Mom, may you finally be at peace as you reunite with Dad in heaven.
