Lura Marie Macke Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Beloved wife of 58 years to the late August A. Macke; dearest mother of Carolyn Ryan, Barbara Macke, and the late Geraldine Rogers; grandmother of Donna, Chris, and Nick Rogers; great grandmother of Justin, Andrew, Rachel, and the late Angelique; sister of Lucy Wohlforth, and blessed by a large, loving extended family.

Lura retired from McDonnell Douglas and was a longtime member of Holy Trinity (formerly St. Gregory Parish).

Visitation Monday, December 29, 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Monica Church, 12136 Olive Blvd (Creve Coeur). Interment at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be sent to the Humane Society of Missouri or Long Meadow Rescue Ranch .
