Beloved daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude Stein; dearest sister of Cindy (Michael) Vishy, Tim Stein, and Tina (Judy) Sclair-Stein; loving aunt of Jeremy (Kara), Courtney, and Matthew; great aunt of Jace and Lily; our dear niece, cousin, and friend to many.

Lynda was a multifaceted jewel.  Her kindness and willingness to give and support others is often one of the first things you hear when someone describes Lynda.  She loved children and remained childlike herself as she always knew the current games, movies and shows the youngsters were enjoying at the time. She attended multiple sporting events, concerts and supported her nieces, nephews and friends' children in all their endeavors. While she enjoyed the many years she worked and Midwest Library Service and the relationships she developed with her coworkers, she looked forward to Friday afternoons when she could head up to the Schoolhouse.  Lynda enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, swimming, relaxing in the sunshine with a good book and ending the day with music around the campfire.  She loved to work in the vegetable garden and found new ways to enjoy the wonderful produce she  grew. She was an avid photographer and was always capturing antics at unexpected moments.  Her laugh was frequently heard across the room whether she was sharing a story , telling a joke or tickled by someone else's story.  Everyone knew better than to challenge Lynda to a game of Farkle - she was definitely the queen of the game.  She would calculate the points before other players had the chance to review their roll.  She will be missed in so many ways, but her stories will be shared by all who knew and loved her for a very long time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Stray Rescue or a charity of your choice.

Visitation Thursday, February 15, 11:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 1:00 PM at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd (St. Ann). Interment Friday, February 16, 12:00 PM at Prairieview Cemetery (Hunnewell, MO).
