Margaret "Margi" Wotawa was called home on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at age 55.

She was fiercely determined to live out her purpose, no matter what obstacles might have stood in her path, and it seems that her purpose was to shine love in as many directions as possible. She taught first graders how to respect and love themselves and others, how to accept and include someone else who might look or sound different. She held the hands of the dying, ministered to the imprisoned and advocated for disabled individuals who might not have a voice. Margi is surely up and out of that chair, dancing in heaven.

She is survived by her mother, Lorriene Wotawa, sisters Julie (Butch) Yeager, Jenny (Mike) Larivee, Amy (Chris) Miller and Mindy Wotawa. Aunt to Nick Berra, Tim Yeager, Nicole Miller, Maria Berra, Kevin Miller, Bella Berra, Tony Berra, Josh Miller, Emma Larivee, Brenna Larivee and Eli Wotawa.

She was predeceased by her father, John Wotawa.

We will celebrate Margi's life with a memorial mass on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Assumption Catholic Church, 4725 Mattis Road, St. Louis, MO 63128 beginning at 11:00 am with a short visitation followed by mass at noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to St. Jude's Research Hospital . It was Margi's purpose to help children and this will continue her legacy.
