Maria
Cutsoukos
Oct 25, 1933 — May 3, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved aunt Maria Cutsoukos. She peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the age of 91. She grew up in St. Louis, attending Southwest High School. Maria also worked for Ameren Missouri for 41 years. She was active in the community and avid volunteer throughout her life. She volunteered at the Red Cross and was an usher at the Fox Theatre since it's grand opening in 1982. Active member of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Women's Philoptochos. She also volunteered at the St. Louis Convention Center and Lambert Airport. She was a jazz enthusiast. She enjoyed concerts and traveling with jazz groups making many friends along the way. Music brought great joy to her life.
A matriarch in the truest sense, her life was a living example of what it means to put family first. She was a beloved sister to Catherine Tsimpris; much loved auntie mama to Barbara Gaugh, Karen Heidelmeyer, Linda Close, and their families. We also want to mention the "love of her life", the late Dr. John Nolan, and his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Women's Philoptochos at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 4967 Forest Park Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63108.
Services: Visitation Friday, May 9th, 11:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 12:00 PM at St. Nicholas Family Life Center, 12550 South 40 Drive, St. Louis, MO 63141. Interment at St. Matthew Cemetery (St. Louis).
