Mary Jane Cox

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Mary Cox/Mama Duck, on 09/27/2024. She was 100 years old.

Born on August 9th 1924 in Benld, Il, Mary was a remarkable woman whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She always welcomed everyone with open arms and love. She dedicated her life to her family and was a source of strength and inspiration for all of us. Mary worked until she was 96 yrs old. Always said this would keep her young and what would she do if she retired. Mary loved to read and I would take her to the library weekly to get books. It would be nothing for her to read 4 books per week. Mary was also a shopper. She loved to go shopping.

Mary was preceded in death by Robert L. Cox, Gregory Cox, and Robert L. Cox Jr.

Mary is survived by: her daughter, Tinna (Keith) Cox-Potter (nee Cox); daughters-in-law, Johnna Cox and Linda Cox; Grandchildren, Stephanie Cox, Micah Greenlee, Kevin (Ashley) Cox, Nora (John) Davis, Chaska Cox-Potter, and Tehya Cox-Potter; Great Grandchildren, Kyleigh (Sam) Nelson (nee Ambrosecchia), Madison Ambrosecchia, Kayla Cox, Travis Cox, Beckett Davis, Callum Davis, Gemma Davis, and Weston Davis; and her Great Great Grandchildren Gannon Evans and Olivia Nelson.

Her legacy of love, compassion and unwavering support will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. We will forever cherish the memories we shared and the lesson she taught us.

Visitation Thursday, October 24th 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd (St. Ann). Funeral Service Friday, October 25th 11:00 AM at Collier's Funeral Home.
