Obituary

Mary Catherine "Catie" Hay (nee Lucido) of Bridgeton, Missouri, was born on May 17th, 1988, and passed away on July 24th, 2023. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

Catie was an alumna of Pattonville High School in 2006. She worked at Washington University School of Medicine in medical coding and billing for several departments since 2015, most recently for the department of radiology.

Catie loved her family more than anything. She was a beautiful person, a sensitive soul who felt things deeply and touched the lives of many. She treasured the tiny moments in life and nature. She loved hiking, animals, rivers, and wildflowers. She was creative, a talented artist who saw the world through that lens, apparent through her bold style and aesthetic. She was intelligent, quick to learn, and enjoyed researching everything. Although quick witted, she could be silly and was quick to smile, laugh, and dance. She was a loving daughter and sister who enjoyed spending time with her parents and 3 siblings; she was a wonderful aunt to her nieces.  She was a loving wife to Joss and a devoted mother to her children Toby, Rowley, and Ossie. She once said she felt as if being a mother was what she was made to do.

Catie is survived by her husband, Joss D. Hay; her son Dimitrian Tobias (Toby) Lucido; her daughter Rowley Nessie Hay; her son, Ossian Albhy Hay; her mother, Stephanie Lucido; her father, Gracian Lucido; her sister, Christina Lucido Williams; her brother, Steve Lucido; her brother-in-law, Mark Williams;  her sister-in-law, Binita Shah; her sister-in-law, Jemma Lochhead; her brother-in-law, Andy Lochhead; her sister-in-law Sarah Connaway Lucido; mother-in-law, Debbie Hay; father-in-law, Dave Hay; her niece Elsie Lochhead; her niece, Graziella Williams; and her niece, Milli Shah Lucido.

Catie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Anthony and Mary Lucido; Steve and Catherine Komeshak; her Aunt Catherine Kister; and her brother Anthony Lucido.

Family and friends of Catie are invited to join in celebrating her life with a visitation on Wednesday, August 2nd from 4-8 pm at Colliers Funeral Home (3400 North Lindbergh Blvd, St. Ann, MO 63074; 314-298-1212).
