Mary Ellen passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 3, 2025, with family by her side.

She was the loving wife of 57 years to Fred Hogan (d. 2022). A wonderful mother to Elizabeth (Andy) Palombo, Bill (Pam) Hogan, Tim (Anna) Hogan and Michael Hogan. Proud grandmother to Danny (Caroline), Bobby, Kevin, Abby & Marie Hogan, and Dom, Cara & Ellie Palombo. Sister to Charlie Conrad. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Conrad and Anita Gleason. She was our center, our compass, our constant. Mary Ellen's family moved to Webster where she attended Nerinx Hall and then SLU. She was smart, kind, outgoing and very creative and loved sewing, fashion, decorating and home renovation. She put these talents to use every day and in her jobs as a member of both high school and collegiate fashion boards, 5th grade teacher, volunteer, real estate broker, and salesperson at Brooks Brothers. Her greatest "job" was mother and she most treasured the time she spent with family. She lived a life of gratitude for the people in her life and their health and happiness. Nothing mattered more.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St Peter's Church Kirkwood on Friday, April 11 at 10:30 am. Visitation will begin at 9:30 and a reception to follow Mass in celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
