Mary Catherine
Ousley
Dec 27, 1945 — Jul 12, 2023
Mary Ousley of St. Charles, Missouri passed away on July 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by loved ones after an extended illness.
What Mary lacked in height she made up for with love, optimism, and bold determination. After graduating from high school, she became a
hostess for the USO where the beautiful brunette met a handsome Military Policeman who would become her future husband. She
enjoyed listening to the music of Elvis Presley, Bobby "The Polish Prince" Vinton, and Chuck Berry among many others. She loved
animals, particularly frogs, and was so far removed from pop culture knowledge that she thought "Kardashian" was a food home delivery
service.
She was a talented painter and spent many nights playing Dominos with friends, reading Archie comic books from the 1970's, and
lovingly pestering her husband Jimmie for granite counter tops. She was exceedingly proud of her Polish heritage and prepared many
dishes for her family to enjoy from recipes passed down through generations. She was a great mother, mother-in-law, grandmother,
friend, sister, wife, and created wonderful memories for her family to remember and cherish until the end of time.
Mary is survived by her husband, Jimmie Ousley, children Jim Ousley (Teresa), Angela Ousley Hopmann, Catherine Ousley Dedert (Dennis),
Richard Ousley, stepdaughter Ashley Hampton, and grandchildren Jordan Ousley, Jace Ousley, Nick Hopmann, Justin Hopmann, Shane
Hopmann, Delaney Dedert, Reagan Dedert, Alexa Ousley, Alyssa Ousley, Alayna Ousley, RJ Ousley, Jacob Hampton, Brendan Hampton,
Caroline Hampton, & Allison Wills. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Angela Hayes, sister Lorraine Schrader, and brothers Richard Hayes, Bob Hayes, and Jack Hayes.
