Mary "Amanda" Shocklee

Jan 31, 1980 – Dec 14, 2021

Shocklee, Mary Amanda Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Tuesday, December 14, 2021.  She passed away at home surrounded by her children, Austin Shocklee, Joseph Rose, Jordan Rose and Bella Shocklee.

Amanda is the daughter of Bob and Mary Christopher, and beloved granddaughter of the late Daniel Shocklee, Sr. and Marilyn Shocklee.  She is survived by her half-sister Angela (R.J.) Robbins and half-brother Bobby (Kristen) Christopher.  She is also aunt, niece, cousin and friend to numerous people who considered themselves lucky to have Amanda in their lives.

Amanda attended St. William for elementary school and graduated from Pattonville High School.  She has worked and cared for many adults and children, particularly taking care of her grandfather, Daniel Shocklee, Sr., after he suffered a severe stroke.  She also worked in various Vet Hospitals and Clinics, and had a true love for animals.  She most recently had 5 dogs and 2 cats, most of them rescues.  Her most endearing quality was her passion for taking care of others.

Amanda loved to travel.  Her most recent trip was to Hawaii in June of 2021 visiting her son Austin who serves in the Navy at Pearl Harbor.  She was there with all of her children and nothing meant more to her than spending time with her family.

Visitation Monday, December 20, 4:00-8:00 PM at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd., (St. Ann).  Funeral Mass Tuesday, December 21, 9:30 AM at St. Monica Catholic Church.

In leiu of flowers, donations may be made in Amanda's memory to The Humane Society of Missouri
