Vitale, Mary Louise (nee Odelehr), Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Beloved wife of the late Paul F. Vitale Sr.; loving mother of Phillip (Vickie) Vitale, Mary Agnes Vitale, Susan (Doug) Rosemann, Paul (Lynn) Vitale Jr., Laura Vitale, Jean (Bill) Day, Joan (Craig) Weiss, David (Robyn) Vitale, John (Karen) Vitale and the late Joseph (Barbara) Vitale; treasured grandmother of Dezi (Megan), Kayla, Rachael, Christian, and Lauren Vitale, Erica Twyford (Todd Chrisman), Julia (Adam) Hilton, Dan (Katie), and Paul (Evan) Rosemann, Felicia Berry, Nicholas (Brittany) and Tony (Kacie) Krueger, Aaron (Colleen), Michael (Samirah), Lucas (Johnna) and Hayden (Haley) Day, Jennifer (Kurt) Hesselbach, Lisa (Tim) Smith, Joe Weiss, and Amy (Tyler) Mitchell; cherished great grandmother of Aidan, Sofia, Simon, Corinna, Ava, Rose, Henry, Benjamin, Maddison, Haylee, Natalee, Allyson, Mya, Dominic, Stella, Allison, River, Rayden, Gavin, Emma, Liliana, Logan, Jack, Rami, Talia, Brooks, Reese, Jacob, Charlene, Timmy, Elizabeth, Ayden, Lillyan, and the late Lucas; dear sister of the late John, Edward, Sr. Catherine Odelehr, CDP, Julia Slattery, and Jean Vieth; dear sister-in-law of Dorothy Odelehr; our dear aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Mary Louise was a devout Catholic whose love for God was exemplified in everything she did. Her belief was that if God was first in your life, everything else would fall into place.

One of her greatest joys was to see and hug her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.... and they all knew grandma had a good supply of candy to share with them.

Her excellent cooking skills were displayed when cooking lunch for St. Thomas More grade school students. Starting Mary Vitale Catering, Inc. kept lots of family and friends busy for nearly 30 years. Always trying a new recipe, Mary Louise, challenged herself constantly.

Mary Louise was a talented pianist and singer. Her Longtime membership with the St. Louis Chordinals, an a cappella barbershop group, gave her much joy in sharing that talent. Gratefully, those music genes have been passed down to her many descendants.

Mary Louise loved working jig saw puzzles. She completed a 2000 piece puzzle that was lots of fun as it featured another of her loves, Ice Cream Sundaes.

Mary Louise always made family and friends feel welcome. She loved going on gambling trips with her sisters and family. Mary Louise made many friends at the Sarah Community in which she has lived since June 2019. She tried very hard to play every bingo game or enjoy the entertainment offered. Happy hour was especially a time to celebrate with her neighbors there.

The family of Mary Louise is truly grateful to the caring staff of St. Croix Hospice. Their wonderful support over the last 4 years has been invaluable. May God bless those who care so lovingly for their patients, as it is truly a calling.

Her legacy lives on in all of the lives she's touched.

If you wish to honor Mary Louise, have a mass said in her memory.
