Michelle Leone Hays (nee Preston), 59, of Maryland Heights, Missouri, passed away on July 9th, 2023. Shelly was a kind and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

She was born December 17th, 1963 in Florissant, Missouri. She married her husband Dave on October 10th, 1986. She went on to raise her two children, Robert and Taylor, and spend her life in Maryland Heights, Missouri. A graduate of Hickey College, Shelly started her career at Christian Hospital Northeast working as the executive assistant (EA) to the director of emergency medical services. In May of 1990 she started working at Monsanto, where she worked her way up to become the EA for the CEO. She most recently transitioned to become the lead EA for the CEO/CFO at Climate Corporation. Shelly was an animal lover; she raised and loved many dogs over the years with her family. When she was not working, Shelly enjoyed orchestrating wonderful vacations for her friends and family, and always loved to travel.

Shelly was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Preston. She is survived by her father Robert Preston, stepmother Sue Zink, sister Stephanie (Kevin) Feissner, husband David Hays, son Robert Hays, daughter Taylor Hays, grandson Bradley Hays, and several nephews and nieces.

Inurnment service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will be private for family. A celebration of life will be coordinated in the near future.
