Obituary

Nancy M. Roberts (nee Pecher), 71 years old, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, January 18, 2026 while surrounded by family at her home after enduring a courageous fight against cancer.

Born on September 14,1954 in Saint Louis, Nancy was the 3rd daughter, and 5th of 8 children, of the late Joseph Howard and Rosemary Pecher. She attended Normandy High School, and it was there that she met and fell in love with her soulmate and best friend, Gerald (Jerry) W. Roberts. They were wed on Saturday, May 21, 1977, and together they shared over five decades of love, laughter, travel, and family.

Nancy was the loving mother of and is survived by Katherine Schack (Eric Zykan), Anthony (Ashley) Roberts, Timothy (Heidi) Roberts, and Kristina (Ryan) Franzen.  She was blessed with 9 grandchildren: Kody Schack, Makenzie Schack, Ford Roberts, Reese Roberts, Dylin Roberts, Blair Roberts, Luca Franzen, Joslin Roberts, and Kali Franzen.  She is survived by her siblings Ann (Billy) Emery, Sue (Joe) Silliman, Joseph (Debbie) Pecher, Dick (Becca) Pecher, Steve (Robin) Pecher, Peggy (Keith) Spisak, and John (Chris) Pecher. Sister-in-law of John (Sally) Saksa.

Nancy was a loving wife, a devoted mother, a wonderful grandmother, a cherished sister, and a supportive aunt.  She was a dear friend to so many, holding each of these relationships close to her heart. One of her favorite things was traveling to create lasting memories with those that she loved so much.  She was a kind neighbor whose presence brought comfort, laughter and warmth.

Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, whom she adored and loved with great passion.  She would tell you that there was no thing as 'too much time' when it came to time she spent with them.  She had a fondness for the small, yet sentimental things in her life which is most shown by her love for M&Ms, which she had shared with her late father and has passed down to her grandchildren.

She touched countless lives with her beautiful spirit and selfless personality.  Nancy will be with all of us forever.

May you rest in peace, beautiful.
