Neil J.
Conner
Aug 9, 1955 — Dec 13, 2023
Neil Jay Conner, known as Neil Diamond to many was born on August 9, 1955 to the parents of Dorothy May Nuss and Sheldon J Goodman in Brunswick Ga. 6 years later was adopted by Aurther Clyde Conner.
He went to Treadwell school in Memphis Tn and started working his way up at Bonanza steak house and became a manager and that took him to Missouri to a Bonanza there. He worked at US Food Service for over 20 years as one of the top salesmen. He then went on to become a food broker until his health became worse.
His loves were music and music trivia. If there is a jukebox, Neil was sitting in front of it to fix up a playlist for the evening he was sentimental and yet controversial, but if you wanted to have a good time, invite him to your get together because he was one funny man, and he will never be forgotten.
He became a Mason and then a Shriner, which meant more to him than anything he had ever done. He is the past president of the air patrol division of the Shriners. They were the division that flew the children to the hospitals that needed medical assistance. Neil loved his Mason and Shriners brothers so much. He talked about how rewarding the work was and how the fundraising work wasn't work at all.
He leaves behind a sister, who adored him from Memphis, Sissy Morris (Edwin). A niece Gracie Morris from Memphis. a niece, Pam Flowers (Billy) from Marion Ark. three great nieces, Ava, Mikayla, and Carla and two great nephews, William and Edwin.
He also leaves behind so many friends, classmates, coworkers, who loved him.
Neil died on December 13, 2023 at his home
