Patricia Jean Eads, nee Brown, age 94, fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 6, 1930 to Thomas L. Brown and Lyda C. Barteau Brown and was a devoted sister to the late Thomas (Barbara) Brown, the late Charlene Brown (Jack) Martin and Suzanne Finch (Dan) Pierce. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, James, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and faith.
Mother of Barbara (the late Carter) Wilson, the late Kathleen (James) Smith, Cheryl (Robert) Guinn, and James (Peggy) Eads, she was a proud and loving grandmother to 13, great-grandmother to 32, and great-great-grandmother to 4, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Pat dedicated 34 years of service to the St. Louis County Court, where her diligence and integrity left a lasting impact on colleagues and friends alike. Beyond her professional life, she was a woman of deep Catholic faith, finding strength and comfort in prayer. Every holiday was a reason to decorate the home and celebrate with family and friends.
She will be remembered for her tenacious spirit, her boundless generosity, and her unwavering commitment to family. Whether gathered around the family table, sharing stories, or offering to help in any situation, she was a pillar of love and strength to all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Parish on Tuesday, February 18 at 10:00 am, with interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Collier's Funeral Home on February 17 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Friends of Kids with Cancer.
May she rest in the eternal peace of God's embrace.
