Obituary

Paul Frank Hassel, 57, of Maryland Heights died peacefully at home in his favorite chair after a valiant fight against Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. Before the onset of his condition, Paul could be found at the bowling lanes scoring perfect games or battling his stepson in Madden on the PlayStation. An avid St. Louis fan, Paul sported his Cards and Blues apparel proudly - so much so that his family is sending him to heaven in his favorite team gear.

Born September 8, 1963, in St. Louis, MO , he was the son of the late Paul Fenton Hassel and Victoria "Vickie" Vitale Hassel Roesler.

He is survived by his wife, Julie McCrea Hassel; stepchildren, Terry "Geno" Kuehnel, Shain Kuehnel, and Sarah Kuehnel; a half dozen grandchildren (Autumn, Julie, Kira, Dalton, Drew, and Austin); mother, Vickie Roesler; sisters, Jeannie Hassel and Cindy Harris; nieces Tiffany Harris (great nephews,Brayden and Davin) and Rachel Harris; stepbrothers and stepsisters (Jill, Larry, Ann, Sue, Jean, Sally, Ralph, Steve, Paul) abound from the loving union between Ms. Roesler and her late husband Ralph Roesler; Innumerable but unforgettable cousins.
