Ralph Wegman, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the age of 93. Ralph was born on December 10,1930 in Jefferson City, MO to Joseph and Gracie (Owens) Wegman.

He graduated from Ritenour High School in 1948 and began working at McDonnell Aircraft Company as a fuselage assembler. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in November of 1951, proudly serving his country during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in November of 1959. Following his service in the Navy, he went on to pursue his passion for cars with a career in autobody work and painting, which he did for over 40 years.

Outside of his professional life, Ralph was a devoted family man. He married Rachel Hadley on June 19, 1969, and was a proud father to Stephen and Michael. His role as grandfather to Joseph Fankhauser, Nicholas Wegman and Rebecca Loome brought him great joy. Ralph was a constant source of support to his family and instilled the values of hard work and integrity in his sons, that they have carried with them throughout their lives.

Ralph loved his local sports teams, but most of all the St. Louis Cardinals. He was also an avid fan of playing the slots and shooting pool.

Ralph is survived by his sons, Stephen (Courtney) Wegman and Michael (Stacie) Wegman; his grandchildren, Joseph Fankhauser, Rebecca Loome (Eric) and Nicholas (Victoria) Wegman and great grandson Elijah Wegman.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rachel and son Joseph.

A memorial visitation will be held on August 18 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a memorial service directly following to celebrate Ralph's life at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd (St. Ann).
