Raymond Vincent Watt "Ray," Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Monday, June 26, 2023, was born on August 28,1930. Beloved husband of Catherine (nee Rocco) for nearly 68 years. Ray was the son of the late Raymond Henry and Mary (nee Egerton) Watt of Fenton, MO.; dear father of Ray and Trudy (Hanebrink) Watt, Tom and Margaret (Andert) Watt, Teresa and Tom Carroll, Tim and Nancy (Poteete) Watt. Ray was a proud grandfather to Ray Watt and Lena VanMeeteren, Elizabeth and Chris Wiegert, Michelle Watt and Aaron Docter, Thomas and Bridget Watt, Amanda and Thomas Herbst, John Carroll, and Brian Carroll. Ray was a proud great-grandfather to Luca Watt, Lucy, William, and Brian Wiegert.
Ray was preceded in death by his sister, Helen and her husband Al Palecek. Ray was a beloved brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Ray was a U.S. Army Korean-era veteran and was very excited to participate on a recent Honor Flight. A 75-year member of the Carpenter's Union Local 47/97, Ray was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He was always willing to help at the church and school or would help anyone with a carpentry project. One of Ray's greatest passions was fishing at Table Rock Lake and fishing trips to Canada with his son Ray.
Visitation Thursday, July 6, 9:00 AM until Mass time 11:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2218 N. Warson Rd. St. Louis, MO.
Gravesite service to follow at approximately 1:00 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
A Celebration of life is planned for 1:30 PM at Andre's, 4254 Telegraph Road.
In lieu of flowers, masses or contributions to Carpenter's Union Scholarship Fund preferred.
