Renee J. Sansouci (nee Ravens) passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 23, 2026 after a heroic battle with lung cancer. She was 71.

Renee was the beloved wife of the late Russell D. Sansouci; dearest mother of Barbara (Paul) Jaycox and the late Eric (Vicky) Sansouci; loving grandmother of Logan, Blake, Ava, Annabel, Lillian, and Ryan; daughter of the late Wallace J. Ravens and the late Billie J. Ravens; sister of Lisa (Mike) Mallon and Andrea (Loren) Roberts; our dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Renee was born in St. Louis, MO on November 9, 1954. She was raised in Maryland Heights and attended Pattonville High School, graduating in 1973. It was there that she met her future husband, Russell Sansouci. They married in 1974 and remained married until his death in 2018. They had 2 children, Barbara and Eric, who she devoted her life to. She was a stay at home mom and homemaker for many years. You could often find her house and pool filled with kids from the neighborhood and the ones that she babysat, many of whom she was a "second mom" to.

After raising her children, Renee worked in the deli at Klaas Market, at James Surveying with her husband, as a teacher clerk at Garrett Elementary, and finished her career at St. Ann City Hall before retiring in 2020.  As a grandma, Renee found joy in attending her grandchildren's activities. Whether it was guitar shows, theater performances,  orchestra concerts, dance recitals, baseball & soccer games, volleyball tournaments, or swim and dive meets, Renee treasured the time she spent watching her grandchildren do what they loved.

Renee was passionate about health and wellness all of her life. She taught aerobics for many years. She took amazing care of herself with her diet and exercise routines, becoming a shining example to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kind heart, beautiful smile, and courageous strength.

A memorial service will be held on May 9, 2026 from 10:00 AM -2:00 PM at Colliers Funeral Home\ 3400 North Lindbergh Boulevard, St. Ann, MO 63074. A time of sharing memories will begin at 1:15 PM
