Obituary

Robert B. Derhake Sr. husband of Aileen (Strunk) for over 69 years, partner in life and adventure, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Born May 17, 1931 in Florissant, Mo., he was part of a large family, 13 children. He and Aileen were married April 15, 1952 before he deployed for Korea. Upon his return, they built their house in St. Ann and raised their own family, which continues to grow. He loved having family gatherings, hunting, tinkering in the garage, making wine and traveling out west.

Awesome Dad, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa.

Children : Bob Jr. (Mary Anne) Derhake, Joe (Jeannie) Derhake, Steve (June) Derhake, Mary Ewald, Mike (Kathy) Derhake, Debbie (Mike) Himmelsbach, John (Mary) Derhake, Paul (Kaye) Kleeschulte.

Grandchildren: Joe, Katie, Ryan, Jenny, Rick, Sarah, Beth, Bob III, Brian, Michael J. Molly, Theresa, Melissa, Jerry, Jessica, Amanda, Nicole, Allison, Jake, Ben, Tony, Lori, Samantha. Tom, Becky, Jill.

Great-Grandchildren: Cassie, Alissa, Wilson, Ean, Matt, Benton, Alex, Henry, Lauren, Andrew, Aeric, Shawn, Maddie, Emily, Audrey, Elijah, Bailee, Kendra, Tim, Ruth, Clare, Brice, James, Lela, Gianna, Olivia, TJ, Adreanna, Forrest, Owen, Benny, Lilly, Bob IV, JP, Ryan, Beatrice, Becca, Aleah, Nova, Hannah, Conner, Chris, Zack, Katie, Michael, Kyle, Marea, Eli, Sam.

Visitation Sunday, November 14, 4:00-8:00 PM at COLLIER'S Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd. (St. Ann). Funeral Mass Monday, November 15, 9:00 AM at St. Jude Church, 2218 N. Warson Rd., leaving Collier's Funeral Home at 8:30 am.  Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery 11:00 am. Lunch following services.

Korean War Veteran, Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree life member, Knights of Columbus St. Ann Council member, member of the Bishop Wurm Society, VFW Overland, Mo. member.
